Spring Fishing Camp at the Medicine Park Aquarium & Natural Sciences Center
The Medicine Park Aquarium & Natural Sciences Center is hosting our Fishing Camp on April 19th, May 3rd, 17th, and 31st from 1-3 pm. The sessions are $35 each or $100 for Fishing Club that includes all four sessions. All levels of fishing experience for ages 8 and up are welcome and we will provide poles, tackle, and bait. Completion of this registration and payment will save your fisherperson's spot. Spots are limited so register today!
Campers will meet at the Medicine Park Aquarium for a crash course in local Ichthyology and a quick tutorial on how to fish. We will then use the Fish Trail to hike down to Medicine Creek.
Once we get to Medicine Creek, we divide the campers up by ability level. After a brief safety spiel, expert fisherpeople will be given their own pole and bait while those new to the sport will receive one-on-one help from the staff.
This is a unique opportunity for students to get out of the house and off of their electronic devices. They will have the afternoon to learn a new skills, bond with new friends, and enjoy the great outdoors.
