Kids Camps

The Medicine Park Aquarium & Natural Sciences Center offers different camp options to get your kids plugged in to natural sciences and outdoor activity. Register early as spots are limited and they go quickly.

FISHING CAMP

Campers will meet at the Medicine Park Aquarium for a crash course in local Ichthyology and a quick tutorial on how to fish. After a quick hike down Fish Trail to Medicine Creek campers are grouped by ability level. Experts will be given their own pole and bait while those new to the sport will receive one-on-one help from the staff.

  • Ages 8 and up

  • Two-hour sessions

  • Poles, tackle and bait provided

  • $35 per session or $100 for four sessions

BLUE GILL CAMP - SUMMER

It’s five days of fun! Campers will learn all about biology, nature and have tons of outdoor adventure. Plan on lots of interaction with our critters, crafts, fossil digs, games and fishing.

  • Ages 8 and up

  • 10am – 4pm Mon-Thurs, 10a - 1pm Friday

  • Lunch, drinks and snack are included

  • Campers will receive a t-shirt, backpack and water bottle

  • $200 per camper

MUDPUPPY MINI-CAMP – FALL & SPRING

A compact version of the Blue Gill Camp, our mini-camp is designed for Spring and Fall Break. Three days of adventure and learning with our biologists and creature family.

2019 FALL CAMP - OCTOBER 16 - 18

  • Ages 8 and up

  • 10am – 4pm Wed-Fri

  • Lunch, drinks and snack are included

  • Campers will receive a t-shirt, backpack and water bottle

  • $150 per camper

  • Only 10 slots available

Wednesday

Ever wonder what a day at the Medicine Park Aquarium consists of? This program allows your child to learn what it takes to be a Biologist. Come experience a day at the aquarium and learn all about our animal friends and what it takes to care for them! Campers will receive a "Junior Biologists" certificate for completing this program. 

Thursday

A naturalist is someone who studies plants, animals and natural history. As a Junior Naturalist, your child will be encouraged to explore aspects of nature using fun, hands-on learning. The focus of this program is to provide campers the opportunity to learn about nature; wildlife; ecological integrity and the cultural/archaeological history of Oklahoma. Campers will leave this day with a Medicine Park Aquarium and Natural Sciences center “Junior Naturalists” certificate and a new appreciation for the world around them! 

Friday

We are all about fish at the Medicine Park Aquarium! This program allows your child to learn the steps of fishing from baiting to catch and release. The day consists of games, fun educational activities, and a morning hike to our fishing destination with a guided hands on lesson. No experience or equipment is required. Campers will receive a "Junior Fisherman" certificate for completing this program.
